Before logging, 5 different species which are eighter red-listed or in other ways classified as valuable species, were found here. Among these species was the three-toed woodpecker, which is red-listed as nearly threatened. The typical chew-marks made by this species, was seen on several tree trunks. This bird species is said to be prioritized in the Swedish forest legislation.
